As a Product Engineer for the BuzziWX DUO, I'm incredibly proud of the technical challenges I tackled to bring this acoustic pod to life. This project required a deep dive into smart layout engineering, ensuring the booth could seamlessly embrace awkward corners or wrap around building pillars to maximize every square meter of an office space.
I was heavily involved in the end-to-end technical development. From complex 3D modeling and creating detailed assembly drawings in SolidWorks, to programming custom macro automation for our file management, every technical detail was carefully considered. A major highlight for me was overseeing the rigorous acoustic testing and prototype evaluations at the Turnhout facility. We had to ensure the high-performance sound absorption was flawless, utilizing sustainable materials like recycled cotton, jeans, and PET felt.
This project really pushed my engineering skills, particularly in designing a sturdy, fully disassemblable structure that seamlessly integrates AV-tech, motion-sensor lighting, and ventilation, all while keeping the space wheelchair accessible. Every aspect of design, sustainable material use, and smart tech integration came together perfectly in this project.
BuzziWX DUO represents the new shape of privacy. Designed to adapt to real-world floor plans, this acoustic haven transforms underused areas into highly functional hubs for focus, private calls, and collaboration, bringing plug-and-play comfort and refined style to any workspace.
"Not every office is a rectangular box, so why should your privacy booth be? BuzziWX DUO is a smarter solution that bends around your floor plan, giving employees a space to focus, connect, or take a call without wasted space or compromise."
